Document Controller – Data Centre Construction – Berlin
Our client, a global leader in project delivery within the data centre and mission-critical sectors, is expanding its presence in Germany. As part of a major data centre development in Berlin, they are seeking a highly organised and tech-savvy Client-Side Document Controller to join the project team.
This role is ideal for a detail-driven professional experienced in managing digital project tools and document workflows on large-scale construction projects. The position offers a choice between a permanent or 12-month contract, with the opportunity to work on a high-profile project at the forefront of Europe’s data infrastructure growth.
Role Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain all project documentation using platforms such as BIM 360, SharePoint, ACC, and Aconex
Set up and configure document control systems and workflows to support project delivery
Ensure consistent document naming, version control, access rights, and archiving protocols
Record, track, and distribute meeting minutes, RFIs, submittals, and correspondence
Support project team and client stakeholders in using the CDE tools effectively
Maintain audit trails and ensure full traceability of project information
Collaborate with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate documentation
Candidate Profile:
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Document Controller role on construction or engineering projects
Strong working knowledge of BIM 360, SharePoint, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), and/or Aconex
Previous experience supporting client-side or Tier 1 construction delivery teams
Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and understanding of document control best practices
Fluent English required; German language skills beneficial
Based in or willing to relocate to Berlin, with flexibility to attend on-site meetings when required
